About Lantern Tree Moments

"Lantern Tree Moments does not offer healing, transformation, self-improvement, growth, optimization, or mindfulness...Instead, my hope is that you find a thoughtful pause here without pressure to perform or become anything other than who you already are."  ~ Colleen Finnegan

The Lantern Tree

Imagine you are walking through a quiet forest at dusk, the air soft and expectant, the path worn by those searching for something they couldn’t name. The trees grow taller, their branches weaving a hush above you—until the forest opens into a clearing, and there it stands: a great, ancient oak, its wide arms outstretched like an embrace.

The trees grow taller, their branches weaving a hush above you—until the forest opens into a clearing, and there it stands: a great, ancient oak, its wide arms outstretched like an embrace.

From every branch hang lanterns—tiny flickers and steady glows alike, made of glass, twine, and time—each holding its own quiet light. You feel it before you understand it: every lantern is a story, a moment left behind by someone who once carried something heavy.

As you step closer, the light softens around you, asking nothing, only offering—and somewhere deep in your chest, something long held begins, gently, to loosen, as if this place has been waiting for you all along.

A Lantern Tree Moment

A lantern tree moment isn’t something you chase—it’s something you quietly arrive at. It’s the instant when the noise softens just enough for something true to rise, when a feeling you’ve been holding finally has space to exist. A lantern tree moment isn’t something you chase—it’s something you quietly arrive at. It’s the instant when the noise softens just enough for something true to rise, when a feeling you’ve been holding finally has space to exist. It might come in stillness or in the middle of something ordinary, but suddenly there’s a quiet knowing: this matters. And in that moment, something shifts—not outside, but within—a small light kindled where there was once only holding.

. . .

Moments take many forms including retreats, gatherings, quiet experiences, self-paced offerings, and intentional spaces. They are designed for people who are more than capable on the outside but exhausted on the inside.

For more than 15 years, my work has centered around creating and managing experiences in high-pressure environments where expectations were constantly rising and limitless energy was expected.

Over time, I began to notice that some of the most meaningful experiences were not necessarily the largest or most structured, but the ones that gave people space to breathe, slow down, and reconnect with themselves and one another.

I started Lantern Tree Moments after realizing how many capable, caring, high-functioning people around me were quietly exhausted — carrying responsibility, pressure, and emotional weight without many places to simply pause and be human.

My hope is that you find a thoughtful pause here without pressure to perform or become anything other than who you already are.
